Preparing for your breathwork journey

At Inhale Breathwork, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. This page provides essential information on preparing for your session and outlines important health considerations to ensure you have the best possible experience.

Here you’ll find everything you need to know to prepare—please take a few moments to read through.

Preparation Checklist

Get plenty of sleep the night before your session - A well-rested nervous system is more receptive to healing.

Wear warm comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, nothing restrictive.

You’ll be lying down or moving gently during most of the session.

If you have back issues feel free to bring an extra pillow to the session for your lower back or under your knees.

Avoid eating a large meal 1–2 hoursbefore the session. A light snack is fine if needed.

No alcohol or recreational drugs for at least 24 hours prior. This ensures a clear and supported experience.

Your health and our commitment to safety

Before joining an Inhale Breathwork session, it's crucial to understand our contraindications policy and assess your medical suitability. We require the completion of a Liability Waiver Form as part of our commitment to ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all participants.

Important health considerations

A breathing session may not be suitable for you if you have any of the following conditions: Cardiovascular problems, abnormally high blood pressure, aneurysms, epilepsy and seizures in the past, anyone taking heavy medication, severe psychiatric symptoms especially psychosis or paranoia, bipolar, osteoporosis, recent surgery, glaucoma, or if you are currently pregnant.

People with asthma should bring their own inhaler and consult with their physician and breathing session instructor before participating. Individuals experiencing an emotional or spiritual crisis, or any person with a mental illness who is not in treatment or lacks adequate support, should also exercise caution.

Why your waiver matters

Completing our waiver and intake forms is essential for insurance purposes and ensures the safety of all our clients and other participants. Your safety is our number one priority. We strive to create a safe container for each and every session, allowing you to maximise your outcomes and experience the full benefits of breathwork with peace of mind.
